Need to go and get it cleand really as one lens is full of dust i dont think the sensor is dirty but cant halm it to get it cleaned.

Lemme know what you think?

Nice. I would have stepped back another half metre to get the rear of the car in and not cropped off. The bright orange light would give a nice contrast and show the curvey sillhouette nicely :)

If you want to check the sensor, use a lens stopped down, shoot at a bright wall or something (doesn't matter if it's out of focus); it will help identify and dirt spots on the sensor. If you do it with two different lenses, then for spots that are in the same place on both photos, they're in the camera and not the lens.

I've cleaned my sensors (well did for my D70 and D200) myself, not too scary, just take your time and use the right gear :)

good start, white balance is a bit off hense the yellow glow (can be corrected in editing)

i just sold my 300 before christmas, great camera for starting out.

have upgrded to a 40D now so hope i can improve.

Personally, I'd up the contrast just a touch:

It looks like the blacks are a bit crushed, rather than the contrast being too far out. It wont help that the source light is on the wrong side of the car, so it makes it more difficult for the camera to expose the shot properly, the result being the detail is lost in the blacks. There are lots of post in this section that give tips on how to take night shots and we are lucky enough to have a couple of professional snappers on Brisky to help guide us emoticon-0100-smile.gif
