Greenline II

Featured Replies

It is on the Skoda website but not in the download-able brochure.

Don't suppose anyone has one yet...

...and now the new brochure is on line with the new model line up in full.

And now it is off my co. car list! I can have a S trim car or a 1.9PD SE.

Looks like I'll be getting a Passat unless that is re-priced as well!

There's nothing wrong with a Superb 'S'. I have one as a company car and with £1,500 worth of options chosen by me, rather than some bundled kit I don't want I've been very happy. For info purposes, my Superb has the following optional equipment:-

Metallic paint (Rosso Brunello)

Headlight washers

Cruise control

Three spoke leather rimmed wheel

Maxidot

Rear side retractable sunblinds

Bolero

Front overmats

Tomorrow, the car will pass the 65,000 mark, and it isn't even two years old until later this month. The Superb has not missed a beat and is returning an actual 52+mpg (see my Spiritmonitor.de stats).

I would strongly consider looking more closely at at an 'S' spec Superb. The ride and handling on 16" tyres is also very impressive for a car of this size. Although I have a 1.9Tdi PD, the new 2.0Tdi CR is quicker, cleaner, more economical and quieter than the old Pumper.

It's back on my list!

Looks like I'll get one of these in SE trim :D

Was just about to go for a BMW 320d Efficient Dynamics car but although faster , it would have been just too small and poorly equipped.

Just asked work to change the order on my 2.0 TDI 140BHP to the Greenline II version, I could not overlook the cost savings - no additional contribution from me and the tax difference. Just hope its the right one having not been able to test it. You can only as fast as the car in front and generally on the M6 is not that fast .....

Until the 140PS SE disappeared from my list, I was thinking, it's a lot of tax but it's a lot of car! Then the Passat SE appeared and I thought, it's not a lot of tax but it's a bit dull. Now the Green line is on and I'm thinking, it's not a lot of tax but it's a bit slow...but it's a lot of car!

Just noticed, the Greenline only has a 5 speed gearbox!

Steve

Saving is in excess of £70.00 per month for myself so it was not to difficult a choice to make. I also did not realise the gearbox only had five gears - lets hope thats enough.

The five speed 'box on my 1.9Tdi is pleasant enough to use and has well spaced ratios. On motorways or fast A roads I rarely have to downshift to gain extra speed.
