2007 Fabia Vrs

Featured Replies

Alright peeps, have my eye on a 2007 fabia Vrs and wondered if anyone can give me a list of things to look out for ;)

Its the limited edition model, looks lovely. Am viewing it tomorrow and hopefully have it within the next week or 2

The 2007 vRS is a Mk 1 Fabia and a Mk 2, so you've posted it in the wrong section, I'm afraid. The Special Edition (SE) was the last to be made, until this year when the Fabia MkII vRS was launched. If I was going to buy another Mk 1, I'd buy one of them.

The most common problems are wet/damp rear footwells due to the door carriage leaking (fixed with a bit of sealant). A slight hesitation or "stutter" due to the EGR. Creaking/warn suspension bushes. I'm sure there are others. If you look and search in the Fabia I section you will find what to look for.

No worrys,i'll check out the other section.

Thanks for your reply

Hi mate, awesome that you've got a Limited Edition - do you know what number it is? There's an owner's register in the sticky's at the top of the Fabia I threads - post your details in there and it will be updated. How many miles has it done - as Jim H said, main things are engine stutter, worn bushes and leaking door seals. I have just had a 50,000 mile service on mine and it's now running brilliantly.

Hey mikey, should be picking it up on tuesday or wednesday. Front alloys were a bit scratched so garage is having them refurb'd for me

Its No 722 and its got 43,000 on the clock.

Have posted up in owners register already ;)

The smaller battery on late vRSs including the SE seems to be weak - why on earth Skoda downsized it!
