ive got an older vrs and the tyres on it are cheap ones called wanli some people complain about them but ive never had a problem with them got them from tyreshopper.com give them a try

I used to run goodyear eagle f1's and liked them alot but there not the cheapest tyres,

I also ran a set of contisports, dry grip was good but they wernt great in wet,

Just running the ditch finders off that the previous owner put on my vrs so not had chance to see how vrs acts to different tyres yet

I found Avon ZZ3s to be pretty good in all conditions...never managed to unstick my S3 with them on anyway....and good price too.

I'd recommend uniroyal rainsport 2's on my vrs and there good in the dry and awesome in the wet. the best tyre iv ever had through standing water on motorways.
