Make much difference?

i've just removed my 200 cel sports cat (in the garage for mot time) and had a de cat put in and there is a noticeable difference in the noise level and a slight bit more difference performance wise.

if your going from a standard cat to a de cat then you'll definately feel the difference

ye thats good then:) thanks mate

ye mine is a normal cat and it loookss masssivvvvvvveeee

just make sure they do it so you can swap the cat back at mot time incase you don't get the nice mot man :giggle:

Don't forget the car has to be legal all year around not just for the MOT and should you get stopped and checked the car will be impounded or you get a set time to repair and will normally have to get it tested afterwards.

putting my 3 inch down pipe and decat on tomorrow so will let you no mate

I ran my de catted volvo for 3 years and never got tested when i was pulled over (which i was a few times that) it was just swopping cat over at MOT time that was abit of a pain, but it was worth the hassle as it made a noticable differance,

It would kick flames out on over run aswell which was interesting at times

Yeah but a regular Police car isnt going to test your emissions. But a VOSA test vehicle will, these are now operating and getting larger in numbers.

dont worry about the above

fecking jobs worths imo for testing emmisions

if your car passes its emmisions on the mot and a week later it tested again it could fail even with a cat in place for various reasons

higher emmisions levels doesnt make a dangerous car!!!!!!!!!! vosa mot is a complete waist of time and should be stopped and a better system like the aussies have would work better

its just a big money making scam

your mot is only good for the hour when its being tested as soon as you drive off there ramp its useless

its the same as not testing new cars for 3 years thats an even bigger joke

It could do yes, but it deffo will without a CAT. Doesnt make a dangerous car, but does make an ILLEGAL car.

But as always the choice is yours, however they are clamping down on things like that so you have been warned.
