Fuel Tank Capacity

Featured Replies

Following a drive of about 500km at constant 160kph which took almost a full tank of fuel, I wanted to calculate the average...at least a gross figure. But when I looked in the car registration papers, they state the fuel tank capacity is 70l. I seem to remember it was 55l...so 70l was kind of a shock. Anyone know what the truth is?

Octavia mk1 will be 55 litres although I very rarely manage to fit more than 50 litres in at the pumps. HTH

Thnx, it's a mistake by the registration office then. And also it means I got about 9.5l/100km fuel average :giggle:
