I have picked up a new regulator for my Felicia 1.3 from my main dealer (closed now as it is Sunday). It has an extra short black wire terminated in a loop electrical connector. The old reg has only the usual white connector. What does the black do, where do I fit it.....or can I cut it off? Thanks.

I'd -imagine- it's an earth, and would need to be fitted under one of the two fastening bolts. But I've never seen one like that before, so I'm not 100%

The main dealers were not sure and suggested I taped up the extra black wire and left it. Seems to be working fine.
