When I had my cam belt changed I replaced the plastic water pump with a metal one. Otherwise just the remap to 182 bhp (no idea what effect it will have on the clutch long term) and new vrs mats for the front. I might go for the PD160 intake - if that has any effect on reducing smoke when overtaking at higher power. The roll bar improvements seem a good idea coming from the world of gti/rallye Pug 306s. Would be interesting to know what genuine performance enhancements there are available rather than just cosmetic. With the Pug it was kind of random like Xsara washer jets :nerd: which definitely did a better job than the ones that came as standard.

Interested to see what others have done. I bet there's some decent cars on here without a lot of us knowing. Don't be shy...

Power seems a little peeney compared to mine if I do say so

Injectors max out @ 220.

I could run more, but it'll smoke.......

So you won't be running much more unless you got different injectors/nozzles.

Don't bother personally attacking me.

Exterior:

17"Spiders bought from Taz (dark grey) - Eibachs/Coilovers needed desperatly lol

LCR front splitter

Repainted front and rear callipers

Brakes/Performance:

PD160 intake

K&N air filter

322mm front brake setup - Recently new discs and pads all round.

Front strut brace

Miltek Exhaust form turbo back

Switchable Remap - installed/supplied by Starperformance.

Car came with some of the above alredy done, my plan at the time was to leave well alone apart from general maintenance/servicing every 6k (approx) .....oh how things change when you see a nice set of wheels for sale lol. Now need to spend more £ on lowering as its now like a 4x4 with the spiders on.

Only 240.......

your running water/meth injection so cant compare really that will give you 10-20horses plus being able to max out the injectors as it wouldnt smoke as much, without it 215-220 about right

Only £400 for the kit

The car came fitted with it aswell as the miltek exhaust. Starperformance fitted them both at the same time and it cost the guy around 1k - got the reciept somwhere if you want the exact amount.

The quality of work appears to be excellent, have been to Starperformance myself and was realy impressed with the setup. I would point out that the switchable remap isnt something that i tend to use. Normaly i just keep the remap on (around 170bhp) as the car drives well ...very smooth map with a good power and torque band.

Defo go to Starperformance, u wont regret it

Good price!

You do understand how water methanol injection works, right? That you have to inject extra diesel with it to be able to get more power?

How are you going to inject more fuel, if the injectors are at the limit?

"Methanol = Lower BTU content (massively so), therefore you would have to bump the pressures even higher to get BTU density per unit of fuel delivered in each injection stroke...

Diesel BTU per Pound: 19,000

Methanol BTU per pound: 8,600

With every part of Methanol you'd have to at minimum more than DOUBLE the injected volume...OR you could in another way say that his power output would be cut 220% FOR EVERY unit of Methanol used that replaces diesel fuel.

You can trick many dyno's into showing bogus data, I suspect this to be the case. 220hp, yeah possible, more than that without significant modifications, not possible."

So jabba's and awesomes rollers are out. Good one!!

Jabba's is, it's a well known fact. THey over inflate their figures like anything1

Got a graph from Awesome to show?

Before the meth. I was at 220 odd at Jabba. This was also shown on awesome's rollers too. Then back to Jabba for a map tweek, 240 hey presto. Many people were there at awesome who can vouch (laughed at how dirty my car was)

I have graphs yes thanks.

Pipe and smoke it???

Not being big headed or anything but do you love me? want to be in me, cos you sure follow me and comment

Yeah, i used Star to do my Ibiza FR remap & had the car serviced there too. Can't fault the work, price or proffesionalism. Will drop Jim an email.

Thanks again for the info
