Power steering Hose

Featured Replies

:wonder: HI

Just wondered if anyone could advise as to what cost is involved in a Power Steering hose having a hole in it, is this something that can be repaired or am i looking a complete new one is it something i could pick up at a scrapyard etc etc.

It is the high pressure one as everything we have tried to do to temporary repair it has blown off.

Thanks in advance

Scrap yard possibly but you have a few choices if you have a hydraulic suppliers near you take your old pipe in they could make you a new one or repair your current one, or your local stealers

don't try to repair it massive pressure with hydraulics hence why its all crimped together

Hi

Many thanks for your quick response.

I use the car as a cab so was only trying to repair to get me over the christmas period however, to no avail as you stated.

We do have a hydraulic suppliers nearby I take it that would be the most cost effective way then? any ideas on price?

Many thanks

no idea on price sorry been a few years since i had any hoses made up last one was on my old cavalier sri when i did a c20xe coversion from x20xev then i think it was about 35 quid for 2 oil cooler hoses to be repaired

Pressure pipes like that tend to cost a small fortune from dealers, would be cheaper to get it repaired i would imagine

have you tried putting a post up in the wanted section. you may find some body has one knocking about.
