Heater blower

Featured Replies

Hello :)

I've done a search for this and cant find anything on topic..

In my mums car (2008 fiesta) and my past cars and to be honest any other car the heater fans seem so much more powerful than in my fabia, Is there anything or anywhere that I can check for blockages perhaps as it's been like it since I owned the car and I've had it for about 7 months now.

Any advice is appreciated.

Cheers

First thing to check would be leaves on the exterior grilles below the windscreen. Secondly remove and check pollen filter (located above passenger footwell), hoover/replace as necessary.

And that's about all you can do I'm afraid without dismantling everything. Don't worry though, I've also noticed that all of my previous cars have had much more powerful fans (at all output levels) - another of the many niggles I have found with the Fabia...

Will check when I get home, Thankyou for that

Did you find any leaves blocking the grilles, or dirt/leaves in the pollen filter?

Also I forgot to mention to check that the glovebox and drivers compartment vents are closed as these will be taking some of the flow away if they are open.
