Rear upper strut brace on the VRS........

Featured Replies

Is that what the title reads?

No it isn't, but as the Fabia doesn't have a rear ARB, your suggestion of fitting a thicker one is either pointless, or referring to the one at the front. And fitting a thicker ARB at the front will give more understeer as I stated.

Furthermore, as someone claiming to have motorsport construction experience, you'd know that what's marketed as a rear ARB for the Fabia is in fact just a beam brace, and so I would expect you to describe it as such...

As it happens, so does the OP, though...

Just to clarify. I meant the rear ARB brace bar. Even though the front has never been mentioned in this thread.

Have a nice day :)

Well this is a pleasant conversation .......

NOT EVERY ONE DOES!!??!!?!??!

Thought it was a open forum, you know for other people to get ideas and info

Oh never mind. The original poster asked about a particular piece of kit. You recommended something he already had, but described it in terms that 'other people looking for ideas and info' might misunderstand, so I questioned this.

Anyway, it's got out of hand now and I now know where you're coming from, so I'm happy to butt out now...!

No worries dude. I was merely stating my opinion on the struts, but its each to their own.

At least its Friday :)

Yeah, sorry. I know as a mod how easy it is for these discussions to turn into bunfights - and I guess I'm just as guilty! But as you say, it's Friday AND it's snowing. The roads have been gritted (on time, for once!) and if it lasts into the weekend, I'll be making the most of it when I get home! :D

Only a £20k 5 second fill up fuel cell which is all alloy cased, but what would I know about strut bars....haha

Will leave this post now. If people want to buy a fancy looking bar and restrict there boot then hey. Thats what helps the economy tick

I work on £13 million jet engines, meshing and running stress simulations..... Doesn't mean I'm an expert in that field though.

Pray tell what race car you work on? And what you actually do on said car?

Have mentioned it in some of my post, please do have a stalk.

For now here are a few pics from when I visited america (fontana speedway) in November. Notice there is no strut bar on the mini, hehe. Oh I'm the tall one on the right with the shades on

Sorry to the OP for clogging up. If you do make the braces, good luck to you

Nice pictures.

Regardless, what race car do you work on? What do you actually do?

I assume you're an analyst? Or a technician?

look at my t shirt. look at the stickers on the car. Mwah xx

Buddy club?

All I'm saying is that if a tyre fitter or a secertarys telling me how much lateral load a Fabia can take, I'd laugh.
