Dancing Xenons?

Featured Replies

As per the header.

The lights on my Yeti don't seem to do their 'dance' each time they are switched on. I saw them work at the dealers and once or twice since, but usually nothing seems to move when I switch them on. The cornering swivel is working fine and the foglights come on at low speed OK.

Are they not working properly or am I missing something?

TIA for any thoughts.

Andy

My superb does not do it all the time either, it depends on the circumstances. For example if I put the car into D, and put the lights from 0 to Auto then they do not do it. If I start the car and move the light switch from 0 to auto before selecting D then they will do the dance. There are other situations relating to lighting conditions and weather which will stop them doing the dance.

I switch the lights to 0 all the time, so that when I start the car in the dark I don't run the risk of a drained battery. My superb does very short runs of less than 1 mile 90% of the time, and the battery has already let me down once.

The lights do the dance as soon as the engine starts - so you'll only notice it in the dark if you start the engine and switch the lights on immediately or start with them in 'auto'.

If you have long arms then start the engine with the lights off and watch them dance! emoticon-0105-wink.gif

If you switch them on while driving, they don't do the dance.
