External Front Windscreen Trim

Featured Replies

Been out to service the beast today and i've decided that the pollen filter needs changing.

But can someone please tell me how the hell to get the trim off! the Haynes manual says to remove the LHS wiper which is a battle in itself but I can't work out how to remove the actual plastic trim. Its like its bolted or glued in.

Advice appreciated !!

It is just clipped up. Pull it up at 90 deg to the windscreen. It can be somewhat of a pig to get off. Take care in the cold as they can become brittle, some members have broken theirs :'(

I have in the past changed my pollen filter without removing the scuttle panel - be prepared for some scratching and scuffing of your hands.

It is also possible to remove the nearside section without removing the offside section first, as per my picture

This image shows the plastic grove in which the panel clips into:

I too would like to know this info, when i had my windscreen replaced due to a crack the blokes just seemed to lift it off :mmm:
