Well i did it....

Featured Replies

After deciding that my mini was too impractical for using for the work run every day i've bitten the bullet and gone for a furby vRS

The first port of call is going to be to upgrade that standard stereo in it...anyone got any tips on changing speakers, where to get power feeds from and adding amps etc?....

Ta,

MPM :D

Hi MPM and welcome to the world of Skoda ownership :wave23d:

I'm sure loads of people have advice to offer on the headunit / amps so will leave that to them :D

Hello MPM, the question would be best in the ICE section, but I have attmpted to answer it (badly).

Speakers=pain in the neck. Unless you want to go silly with modifying the interior, then you will be stuck on your choice. The Autoleads 165mm speaker spacer for a MK4 golf fits perfectly, but you are limited for depth as the window runner is right behind it.

Neverdone anything more than speakers and radio, but I'd guess the best port of call to wire power for the amp would be the battery, or from the radio itelf.

Cool....

*dashes to ICE section*

I'm so tempted to field out the work to a professional but dunno if i want to spend the extra money when i could feasibly do it meself

At least in the mini i could/can do whatever i wanted to mod it and everything was really easy :P

MPM :D

Welcome MPM

I did quite a lot of stuff with respect to ICE in my furby so take a look at the ICE section as Jeff suggested. Lots of useful how-tos in there with pics :)

Any questions, fire away in the relevant section. We try to be nice most of the time :D
