Got a small problem with adjusting the electric mirrors on our VRs

Adjusting the left hand side is OK but with the switch set to the right hand side both mirrors move instead of just the right hand one.

I'm assuming its a fault in the switch somewhere.

Any ideas anyone please?

AFAIK its supposed to be a feature. Admittedly mine doesn't do it, but i've seen it mentioned on here that other peoples mirrors move in the same fashion. Something to do with reversing visability

All 3 of the fabias me and my mates have do it, it's normal, pretty sure it's in the handbook too iirc

Matt

mine doesnt do that, left setting adjusts the left and the right seting adjusts the right :wonder:

Not sure about your car since you've posted in the wrong section of the forum, but pre-facelift Fabia Mark 1's had that as the operational mode.

Me 2 but the other halves SDI mirrors work as in post 1.

Thanks for the replies folks.

This is on an 04 plate so not sure if its a "feature" or not.

Its actually the other half's car and she said got a problem with the mirrors, can't say that I had noticed it until she mentioned it so I'm not sure if it's always done it or not.

Just have to set the right hand one up first and then the left.

Mine are independently adjusted on my 2005 Fabia VRS.

Mine do the same.

My 2004 polo also had this feature, ended up taking the mirrors to bits as I thought the wires may have shorted somewhere, then learned they all do it...

The change point was September 2004

mine do, left, left and right, heated, that's my three positions... although the heated bit don't seem to work :'(
