Rear number plate fixing?

Featured Replies

I just discovered that the rear number plate on my vRS is starting to fall off. Hadn't even realised that it was glued on in some fashion until now.

Anyway, one end is loose and I need to fix it. Given that its the weekend and I'm doing another 12 hour shift tomorrow, I'll tape it up for the moment, but I'd like to do something a bit more permanent as soon as possible.

What would be the best method of fixing it back properly? It looks as though I should be able to pull it off and clean it up, but I need some method of fixing it back in place.

Paul.

Double sided sticky number plate pads from Halfords or Ebay ;)

Get some plate holders :)

+1 for plate holder. Beware there is some crap on ebay though (I got some that broke within seconds with little force trying to open the clips). There should be 2 screw holes, so 2 self tapping screws, 2 washers a plate holder, and you should be set.

These ones are good and have a secure fixing method http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200541942461&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT

These ones are bad and broke on me in seconds http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190475407444&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT

:) Thanks. Found some on eBay. Just have to make sure I don't lose the plate before it arrives....

Thanks. I've got some double sided tape on the way, but that sounds like a better long term solution. Having a recomendation for ones that work helps a lot as well - I'd never know what to look for.
