New Yeti on order soon!

Featured Replies

Hi all will soon be in a position to order a 170 elegance Yeti. Am thinking green with gobi interior at the minute,( I realise this is maybe a different combination!) extra's including park assist, stereo upgrade and heated screen( provided I see a car with the lines on the windscreen and deem them ok!). Would love columbus but is probably a step too far on price. Has anyone any thoughts on anything I have missed? Or any comments on the colour selection? My last 3 cars have been silver, back and white so have ruled them out.

Ps Doed the elegance have the rough road package in full?

Cheers Michael.

Full size spare wheel is a must.

Xenon headlights a luxury but well worth it

EDIT: Just realised the Elegance get's bi-xenon's as standard :giggle:

Does the elegance have the rough road package in full?

The Rough Road Package is available as an option on SE and Elegance with either front-wheel or all-wheel drive.

The RRP comprises of:

- A thermoplastic cover for the engine and transmission.

- A plastic cover for the fuel and brake lines.

- Reinforced brake fluid distribution system and hand-brake cable.

The off road button is not part of the RRP and is only available on the 4x4 models but is standard on the Elegance 4x4.

Hi - I have also just ordered a 170 Yeti (pre VAT increase). Like you I also ordered the park assist on the basis that I wanted the front sensors and might at least enjoy the toy aspect for the small additional cost above the front sensors alone. I didn't bother with the heated windscreeen as it will be kept under cover and early morning windscreen scraping will be rare. I do however like that option though. I agree with others re spare wheel but space saving. I have read that full size (if available ??) will not fit well under the false floor supplied ??. I also ordered the tyre pressure monitor which did very well for me re a slow puncture on my brand new Octavia bought in March (but now already traded in for this Yeti). I chose the avocado brown with Gobi sand interior and have already in my possession the wood effect dash board trim - which you will find discussions about on this forum. I'm not bothered about stereo upgrade as I rarely use a car radio and found the standard to be (for me) more than adequate. I would have liked the new Rosso Brunello which was my Octavia colour but my wife pointed out that it showed every spec of dirt so we went for a colour as near to the colour of dirt that we could think of.

The only other extra I would have liked to order if available would have been an early delivery date. I think that you/me will be waiting for a long time. I'm not really bothered - when it arrives it arrives and I have a fixed trade in price on my 2nd vehicle (Fabia) now that the new Octavia is sitting on the dealers forecourt looking for a new owner.

I wouldn't buy a brown avocado but I like my muscavado to be that colour!

Well spotted !

And thanks for taking it in the spirit intended! My 170 4x4 Elegance ordered in mid-August is due to be built next week - fingers crossed. I also have gone for park assist, using the same reasoning as yourself, and a heated windscreen as my car stands out under a carport and I found this a really useful feature on a Mondeo I had a few years ago. I've also gone for the Columbus satnav - I know it's expensive, but I find it both useful and entertaining and it also works well in France (even finding obscure B&Bs in tiny hamlets), which I visit frequently. The TPM seems a useful (and pretty cheap) safety enhancement; I have risked not going for a spare wheel as the Yeti boot is already on the small side (especially when moving across from an Octavia Scout) and I have gone for the variable boot floor to give some additional security/protection for small items. I like your choice of colour and trim - there are those who warn against pale leather seats, but I'm prepared to do some cleaning if necessary in order to benefit from the very smart appearance and the additional lightness it creates inside the car (if a sunrioof had been available I might have considered the Onyx upholstery). I have ordered the fake wood dash trim which I think looks ever so much better than the silver with Gobi: I'm not normally one for 'bling' but in this case I think it works!

I fear you will have a long wait for your car but I have found this site helps to pass the time while increasing knowledge about the vehicle to come. Welcome to the club!

I got one for ours for £550 fitted afterwards, and will recoup about £200 on the Bolero.

I can't see how they justify the £1400-odd from new (in my opinion) when the only thing it really has over standard Bolero is navigation.. :o

Hi

Where did that come from if you don't mind me asking?

Ebay. (waits for the flaming...)

Shrink wrapped in A1 condition with the security code, and fitted for free.

I totally agree with this remark. The friendly good humoured and realistic useful knowledge on this forum does indeed help the wait. I went through the same thing waiting for my octavia and it definitely helped. If on my own I might forever be hassling the dealer. I am moderator on a major internet forum (absolutely nothing to do with cars) and though unmoderated, like this one, we insist that people stick to a set of sensible rules and we are complimented on it being a very good place to be. I for one would not hang around any forum which was not a good place to be.

I am delighted that I am now not the only one who has ordered a Yeti in Green and Gobi.I wobbled at last minute and nearly ordered a blue or silver but stuck to my guns . Mine will be a 140 Elegance and I think it will look fab

I think it'll look FAB too

Hope you have a short wait.
