Removing chrome

Featured Replies

Right, an old trick from model making days to remove the chrome plating on the moulded plastic parts of model kits...Mr Muscle oven cleaner. Worked a treat. Not tried this on Skoda grilles as Im not going to risk the wrath of the boss..

If any of you want to try it, go ahead...If it works...well :)

Hi there.

I used some cif lemon cream cleaner to remove the crome from the rear badges of my felly. They were wearing off a bit anyway so I got rubbing. Took a bit of elbow grease but worked a treat and they looked a lot better in black than in silver!
