what suspension would you use on a mk1 vrs on a 2004 ???????

got some eibach springs to fit which is nice as don't wanna slam it just maybe 15 or 20mm should i fit em or return them??????????

neuspeed or eibach anti roll bars front and rear 25mm either way anyone used them???????????

what exhausts are good but quiet too as got family to think about??????????

also need reliable power from it and to get rid of flat spot in third????????

mk4 golf r32 brakes fit under spyders??????

anyone do debaged grills that look good and any pics gotta fit well too cars a black one??????????

pm or post if you have anything for me that may be useful :)

any help would be awesome

Didn't think eibach made springs for the vrs? A lot of people use weitec coilovers or koni fsd dampers with lowering springs (expensive).

Exhausts, milltek are pretty quiet, blueflame and jetex are supposed to be a bit louder, but not too loud.

For the flat spot, try cleaning the throttle body. There's loads of threads about it on here. If not, the car may be remapped badly. You always get a surge around 2500-3500 rpm as the turbo spools up, but you shouldn't have any flat spots.

R32 brakes should fit. You can also use the (imo much better) brembo brakes from a leon cupra r, but you need 5mm wheel spacers for them

And last of all, I think debadged grills look a bit naff, but there's some on ebay I think.

Oh, and welcome to the forum

I drive in leeds a lot, I will flash and wave if I see a black vrs. I'm in a yellow one.

eibachs send em bk as they dnt list them for a vrs.

i use weitec coilovers and highly recommend them, missus and kids don't moan either :giggle:

panel filter in modified airbox or CAI if you like noise.

forge 007 or compbrake dump valve.

mk4 golf r32 FARB 23mm (cheaper alternative than either eibach/neuspeed and as good)

eibach or neuspeed 25mm or 28mm RARB

miltek non resonated exhaust turbo back if you plan other mods.

a good re map (i personally recommend ben @ sharkperformance)

standard vrs brakes are fine.

colour code the chrome bit of your grill looks much better

HTH

Is the car mapped at all?

And don't get the uprated front ARB without doing the back one first. It will make the car understeer even more than it does already.

And don't use ebc greenstuff brake pads, they're sh**e!!

the car is not mapped at all, has a k and n panel fitted and forge recirc as stock was furked

anti roll bars would go on at same time

my mate works at lk performance they contacted eibach and got the recomended kit number same as the normal 1.8t but only lowers vrs 15-20mm from stock

what pad and how much are the coilovers something not harsh but very reliable ???/

Ferodo DS2500 pads always get good reviews, but they make a lot of dust. The standard ones from the dealers are pretty good, but are expensive.

Not sure on price of the weitec kits, thought they were about £600.

like the grill the car erm no superskoda any good to deal with

weitec or ap???????????

can't say on the ap ones not heard much about them.

i would recommend the weitecs anyway

as for the grill i'm not keen i would just colour code yours maybe fit some different badges, there's a group buy on for aftermarket badges going on at the mo in the group buy section http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/186207-pastyboy-badge-replacement-gb/page__view__getnewpost

cheers dude pm'd mist helpful forum ever is this top help

the car is not mapped at all, has a k and n panel fitted and forge recirc as stock was furked

anti roll bars would go on at same time

my mate works at lk performance they contacted eibach and got the recomended kit number same as the normal 1.8t but only lowers vrs 15-20mm from stock

The 1.8 T is not the same kit as the VRS, they are completley different kits. A VRS is not listed and should not come under the 1.8T just because the engine is a 1.8T.

Eibach are talking rubbish if they state the same..

AP coliovers have just been improved and share similar internals to Weitec which share similar internals to KW as they are all the same German MFG company.

weitec are peoples choice and Spax RSX are new to the scene.

For exhausts miltek, Blueflame, piper are all good makes and none of them make car noisy. Turbo cars typically have very little back pressure so the exhaust note is usually a lot quite then a NA car.

FARB you have a choice of Neuspeed, Eibach, H&R or even a Golf R32 one as that is 23mm as apposed to the VRS 19mm.

RARB again you have a choice of Neuspeed, Eibach, H&R or Whiteline ranging from 22mm up to 28mm

but as mentioned you need to match your roll bars together. ie don't fit a FARB before the rear

springs going back 25 mm front and rear anti roll bars on order from my mate

Can you let us know how they are compared to standard? was considering eibach over standard farb and 22mm whiteline rarb then flog the oem farb will probably end up costing more or less the same

  • Author

yes dude i will my mate swears by them on his g4 gti

  • Author

so if i can't stretch to coil over what springs do i go for

coilovers are a bolt on mod mate come with springs on them etc etc

hmm... you may want to read that last post again westallc.the guys asking about springs in the event that he cant find coilovers within his budget.lol. try koni or h&r springs, the h&r springs are expensive though.dpm performance sell both.
