Removing back seats. Is it possible ?

Recommended Posts

Anyone removed back seats, or know how to do so ?

The seat bench itself is easy removal, but the seat backs are un unkown to me right now.

Don't want to go digging around undoing bits of trim if there's no easy removal possible.

Also, anyone know why there are zips part way from the back of the bench section?

Can't imagine that its for removal of the seat cover.

The inside of my car is desperately in need of a clean, so would be useful to be able to take the seats

inside the house to clean and dry them there

Yes very easy to remove, get into the boot with a torx screwdriver cannot remember what size, 1 drop the seat backs forward,at the base where the 2 bits meet you will see the torx screw that needs to be removed, along with the slide clamp, once removed being the small part back up half way and start to wiggle it towards the centre and it should just come off do the same with the other half refitting is in reversal

Thanks for the advice folks.

Got the seat backs off the spindles, but one still attached to the car by its seatbelt !

Anyone know where i get a male socket to remove the seat belt retaining bolt ?.

Its not a torx setting.

Unique to VAG ?

Thanks for any info ;)
