Right then here goes,

as some may know, I have been having trouble with the gearbox in my vRS (91k) as a result of not being able to find the correct one Ive pur-chased amateurstuntman old vRS from Westallc as he had had enough before he had chance to turn it into a track car.(would of been an awesome track car too) http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/179368-51-plate-mki-octavia-vrs-sold/page__p__2156750__fromsearch__1

The Plan:

The MOT is up in mid Feb and the tax end of Mar. As a result of me JUST getting a full time job since May 09 I will be running the car till I can get get leave and get it up to Huddersfield at the end of the month as my Grandparents have a garage I can store it in to strip it.

I will then be stripping it and selling all the parts I dont need. Ill be posting all the parts up on here with pics soon as I get them off.(Freedom Payed)

I am at a bit of a loss tho as to what to do with the engine? It now has 110K on it but will prob be up around the 112k mark. Ill say that to be on the safe side. Depending on time tomoz Ill be doing an oil change on it after cleaning it out.

Should I sell it as is? or sell parts off it?

If I sell it as a working engine I really need to sell it before I take the gearbox off it so the buyer can see it and hear it running. Included in that sale would be:

MAF

TIP

Turbo

IC

Intake Mani

TB

ECU

and all the wiring.

Selling Components:

Id sell the engine without TB, Turbo, Exhaust Mani.

so it would just be the block, Head and cam cover with all internals.

Which should I do?

Any other sugestions please feel free.

billy

should have asked Clive what to do with it, he's stripped enough :giggle: I'd be interested in the sports cat

drum up some interest with what bits will be sold off it mate that should give you an idea of if it's worth doing or not.

i know from speaking to clive that its one of the best handling vrs's that he's driven so maybe keep the good bits you want for yours that way you can swap your bits onto it if you decide to sell whole

if you've got somewhere to store and strip you'll probably make more money breaking it IMO

its a decat mate,

Clive has only done 2 lol, and I did ask and hes been very helpful. Just if its going to sell as a running engine complete then I need to keep it i the car so I cant take the box off to fix mine. so really I need to sell it between now and start of Feb.

I would be interested in the weitec coilovers buddy :giggle::thumbup:

its a different car to the one in his signature just so people dont get confused :giggle::thumbup:

OH clive wasnt wrong, its the best one Ive been in, only car id say that rivals it was a subaru impreza STI PPP 370 bhp a mate had brand new in 06. the one after the bug eye one. power wise no comparison but goin round corners OMG.

I have the same Weitec coilovers on mine and RARB just std fromt one and mine feels NOTHING at all like this one.

Ill be selling:

All the interior. Will have the full rug doc service so should look good as new.

Body pannels all bar Passengers and drivers wing

vRS front and rear bumpers are not the best and the bonnet has a small stone dent in the front.

Boot lid With Wiper delete looks cool. will need the trim putting back on it tho as Stuntman took it off.

Engine and all parts there of

Rear Beam (might put the Fabia bushes in mine)

Weitec Coilovers

whiteline 22mm RARB

Std wishbones with SuperPRO bushes

S3 Steering Rack

Std Rack

Std Front ARB with SuperPRO bushes

dog bone with Powerflex bush and std rubber one on the gearbox side.

Some parts will be off mine or parts Ive not fitted to mine yet.

I have lots of stuff lol. also prob sell my front seats too and I also have a R32 rear bench. Too much to remember till its all layed out and pictured lol.

no radio or CD changer tho.

that will give a rough idea I spose

Cheers Si, yea just to not confuse people the one in my sig is mine. the link in the first post is the one Ill be stripping. even tho some parts are similar.

They have been taken off every year since Aug/Sept 08 and fully cleaned up, the rear shocks were painted last year coz of some slight rust on the bottom of them, Pics are in one of my Threads from last January iirc. all motorway miles pritty much. Very good kit too.
