I have ordered a new Octavia Scout (Delivery May 2011)

As part of the spec I have ordered Heated, Memory seats. I asked the sales person if they worked from the fob (i.e. if I open the car with my fob, the seats set up for me and vice versa with the other half and her fob). The sales person said that Skoda cannot and do not have this system and that a button needs to be pressed once in the vehicle.

A friend at my other half's place of work has told her that this is rubbish and that he has an Octavia (not sure of model) and that the driver seat sets up depending on fob used to unlock car?

Can anyone shed any light on this for me please?

Not a big issue, just curious. (These questions keep me occupied during the long wait for delivery)

Cheers in advance,

Cyril

Not got the manual to hand, but there is a section in there for the Octy on how to associate the seat and mirror settings with the remote.

Not sure how it works as I haven't set it up yet!

I had the leather electric driver's memory seat and it could be set to a certain key fob when set up correctly. The Superb 2 can do it as well, not sure about the Yeti though.

Another example of a salesperson not knowing the product they are trying to flog.

yep, my 2010 L&K does it just fine, even moves the external mirrors and you can have different reversing positions on the left mirror.

The guy doesn't know what he is talking about!

Yes you can set up each remote with different seat and mirror settings.

That's great, thanks!

He did say a few things which confused me but to be fair, I had researched the car I wanted and he has to have product knowledge of ALL models AND trim levels he is selling. That said, I suspect that the memory seats/key fob issue would be the same accross the product range so............

I have also ordered the 4 spoke multi function steering wheel for radio and Maxidot (not bluetooth) He assures me that with this £195.74 option Maxidot is included. This saved me ordering the (£110.64) Maxidot separate. I was sceptical but he assures me that if he is wrong, then he will pay for the Maxidot to be retro fitted, is this possible as it appears to be a factory fitted option????

I do have the list of extras ordered in writing along with a follow up Email of confirmation.
