Best spec...standard

Featured Replies

I have been looking at a replacement for vRS recently and because of my circumstance( lease over 2 years, my age(late 30s) and need for comfort and space)

I'm looking at what you get for your buck on a standard vehicle.

So far Honda C-RV EX is top of my list. You cannot get anything else standard on car without spending alot more

Anybody got any ideas, remember no added extras and priced below £30,000

Superb 2 Elegance.

Very good standard spec.

How about a Mazda 3 ? decent spec models have lots of kit.

Preferably a 4 wheel drive, not excluding "crossovers" a4 allroad etc

One of these worse cars I have sat in for a long time.

My Father in Law has a MPS and it is awful; the seats are uncomfortable fr and rr, absolutely no rear legroom, tiny rear doors, boot that is not much larger in real terms than the wifes Fabia and imo overdone styling.

It isn't having a very good write up in Evo and whilst good value; there is not as much room as a golf or astra.

Look elsewhere.

Superb 4x4 3.6 would be a good start :D

Not to mention emissions ( company tax )

or fuel bill!

Superb 2.0 tdi 170 or tsi 160. 4x4 looks interesting

The Superb is very comfortable and has tons and tons of space. The boot is almost comically big and the rear legroom is incredible, I am 6'3" and I can sit in the back with the driver's seat all the way back. I still chuckle about what I can cram in the car for work emoticon-0136-giggle.gif

I opted for the CR170 Elegance (not 4x4) because I didn't have to mess about ordering a car with loads of extras on it and because the car is huge. I stuck loads of options on an Octavia vRS once and it was a pain - not to mention expensive.

For a company car I went with a 2007 Octavia L&K PD140 as there was a 'no options' rule. The only major item it missed was the sat nav but I retro fitted that very quickly.

Better spec Mazdas about like the CX7 for under £30K. Just a shame they put the noddy engine in it.

Yeti? I got no idea what the specs. are though.

Another vote for a 170 CR Superb Estate 4x4. - great car, had mine for 8 months now, and still loving it! :)
