Hi,

I cannot unlock my 56 Octavia Elegance with the remote keys. I can open the booth and I can lock it but it won't unlock it only if I use the keys.

The owners manual says that this might be because my keys and the central unit are not synchronised any more. But I can't seem to get them synchronised again - although it is true I can't really understand the description in the owners manual either (seems like a poor translation).

So to cite the manual page 53 (Synchonisation of the remote control):

"to synchronise the code as follows:

• Press any button on the remote control.

• Pressing of the button means that the door will unlock with the key

within 1 minute."

I am not 100% sure what I need to do but this is what I've tried:

Test 1. pressed any buton then unlocked the car manually with the key. Then locked the car with the remote. Unlock still doesn't work/

Test 2. Pressed a buton for 1 minute then unlocked the car with the key. Then locked the car. Unlock still doesn't work.

Am I missing something ?

Problem solved. Changed the batteries and now it works like a charm.
