hi all ,radio wont turn on ,fuses checked all ok, power coming to switch /volume button as it lights up for a second

its a 2006 model any other fuses i need to check ?

Have you removed the radio & checked the fuse fitted on the back panel actually on the radio itself? Not just the ones in the car fuse box(es)??

Failing that... someone with more of a clue will be along shortly!

Hi Simbo ,I checked the 10amp in the back of the radio itself and swapped the 15 amp in the fuse box but the same thing a blip if you want to call it that when i try to turn it on .the surround of the on /off /volume button lights for about a second and then goes out nothing appears on the screen .

Hi had the same problem today. Checked both fuses and they are okay. Removed battery lead to reset CAN bus but still the radio refuses to turn on. Get the same symptons as the the blip and the the surround of the on /off /volume button lighting up briefly.. any help appreciated. Thanks in advance

Hi Chazza any luck getting the radio sorted ?I disconnected battery too i have 2 warning lights up now the powersteering and the control system for exhaust .did you get these and if so do you know how to reset them as they werent there previous .Radio still not working may bring car to mechanic .

Don't worry about the warning lights, you just need to take the car for a quick spin and they should reset. You might even be able to sort the power steering one by turning the wheel full lock in both directions.

thanks big c took her for a spin power steering light went out control system for exhaust still on maybey it will eventually go out with a longer journey .

Hi I got the same lights but a quick spin sorted them out. No further news on the stereo though... lokks like I'll have to bite the bullet and look around for another one....
