Hi

I too have been reading this forum as we ordered a 1.2SE TSI in Muscovado this week. We should have it about the middle of March as the Dealer had ordered in a demonstrator which matches just what we wanted .

It's great to hear what everyone thinks and it all seems very positive. Our only indecison was whether to go for the 1.2 or 1.4 but as we don't do very much long distance driving we opted for the more economical. We were slightly worried the 1.2 would not have enough power but people on here seem to be happy. We can still change our minds on engine size as the showroom model is the 1.4.

It's nice to know we can access this site for information

Hi Lindy Lou and from one newbie to another, welcome.

It's a bit daunting, sticking your head over the parapet to start with, but the natives seem friendly.

The 1.4 wasn't listed as an option when I started looking and appeared just as I was about to order. As I was working to a tight budget and wanted the DSG version I decided to stick with my original choice of 1.2. The 1.2 seemed pretty good to me and if I hadn't already known the engine size when I took a test drive, I would have guessed around 1.6.

Hi and welcome. i have had my 1.2tsi for just over a year now and have done 10k its a lovely engine and for general every day driving has all the power you will need.

I think fuel economy depends on the driver it is surprising how it will hold on at low speeds in a high gear. and go up hills in a lot higher gear than other small engined cars.

the only down side to the turbo engine is its too much fun not to play with it :giggle: and that brings down the mpg mine is running a average 40 mpg from new now . but it will show you more on a lot of trips even in slow moving traffic. the most i have had is 54mpg.

Don't worry when it is new it will only give you around the 30 mpg but at 1k it will stat to improve rapidly.

I am only selling mine because i need a 4x4 now (small village no gritters)

Wish you all the best with your yeti (you will properly have it before my tdi ordered in December :( )

regards Kevin

I've only ever seen one Yeti around here and that was Muscavado, it could have been you! Have you ever been to Morrisons car park? If so you may have my nose print on one of your windows..

I'll be Bright Red in a few weeks, hopefully.
