Hey guys

Just bought new fabia 1.4 vrs and have been looking at various forums and a good few seem to say that i should be using super unleaded. Unfortunately i live in ireland and can't get it. Will this cause engine problem ie knocking or is it just to get that last bit of power out of it.

P.S. is there an additive i can put into the tank to bring up the octane?

what ron is the fuel available. The vRS will have been designed to run on 98ron (this is where their 178Hp figures comes from) you could fill up with lower grade fuel, the car will run fine, but make less power etc

Cheers janner_sy we can only get 95 ron here as the robbing ******s in customs put a huge tax on super when we had it so people stopped using and thus garages stopped selling it. If it only means a slight drop i'm happy as i've come from the old 130 brake and this feels like a rocket.

Whens yours arriving? Waiting to see how you get on with the mods so i can start convincing the missus.

not until april i rckon. im away as welll then so it wont be getting modded until july/august time
