Does anyone know if anyone makes a toe bar for the vrs

The ones on ebay all say fabia except vrs. Is that due to the differnt bumper.

Hi Dave,

No supplier makes a towbar for the VRS due to the rear valance design and the fact that you are cannot legaly tow with the VRS due to it not being type approved for towing. Skoda did not think anyone would tow with a sports car. Having said that any tow bar for the Fabia Mk1 will fit though you might have to modify the rear valance to get it to fit. Other reasons for a towbar might be a bike rack or rear luggage box. Having said that some people do tow with the VRS.

I'm sure I read somewhere that they are approved in Ireland though.

Hahah I was just about to post that exact same pic!

I have one that i fitted myself and you do have to trim the bumper but i think they have to with all the marks ones,

Didn't say whether it was left or right foot that it needed fitting to

I've been reading that they'll be bringing in a law to crush people's cars if they're not insured - wonder if that will apply to people whose insurers void their insurance when they find out a towbar's fitted?

That depends if you tell them and you have it on as a modification your insurance form.

Just as a matter of interest, has the Mk2 Fabia vRS been type approved for tow bar fitment?

The factory for 'Witter' is close to me, so I'm going to have a word with them regarding this farce regarding the Mk1.
