Got the above from superskoda.com, however it came without fitting instructions.

Anyone any ideas?

Cheers

Screw it on from behind?

Screw it on from behind?

Brilliant!

Means I'd have to remove all manner of trim on the dash to get in behind the carpet...

Don't think I'll bother.

Guess what I'll be doing...

I just drilled holes into the side carpet and pushed the plastic lugs into them. However because of the curvature of the panel some tended to pop back out - nothing a bit of superglue couldn't fix though. Just put the glue on the lugs and then push into place. The panel is surprisingly thick so there seems to be plenty for the glue to grip onto.

Sarge.

Drill and tube of 'No More Nails' poised, I'll give it a go.

Now, all I need is the car...

The generic superglue is quite a different beastie from No More Nails. I'd hesitate to attempt to adhere plastic to carpet anyway. And I'd be careful about blindly drilling holes into my car.

That whole carpet/trim piece comes away quite easily IIRC-there's 1 Torx screw in the footwell, near the centre of the panel; the rest is stuck with velcro(yes really!), and tucked up under the centre console trim. If you undo the screw, the carpet trim should pull out from the bottom (gently!) and down from under the trim.

Should make it a bit easier...... :)

Edit-check for more fixings before tugging away at it-be careful! I accept no responsibility etc...

Slightly lift the side panel you are going to drill into and slide a block of wood so you know when to stop. I also used a bit of super glue to fix it permanently.

I do recall it arriving with a template piece of paper from superskoda...
