Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

Sorry if isn´t the apropriate place to put my doubt, but i really need a BIG help!!!

I have a Skoda Octavia Elegance (2006), and last month i changed my steering wheel. My actual steering wheel came from a Octavia Rs Facelift with padells. My car it´s normal version without DSG.

After put steering wheel on place, not every buttons are working.

Buttons working: </> and funcion mute (with left cursor, pressing on top).

All the other buttons.... Not Working...

I can´t controll my maxidot with steering wheel buttons, i just controll RNS 510 (some funcions) Is it normal???

Some things:

- I have a gateway ...530AD

- I have rns firmware version 2724

- My steering column controller is...CH version..

- My Rns 510 Columbus have the reference 3T0.....

Anybody could helpe me please???

Thanks a lot

Best Regards

Did you sort your issue? I have exactly the same one. Volume control just not working. I do not have maxidot , but I just retrofited

Steering wheel , CH mfsw controller and cruise control. With coding I can get or mute by pressing on the left volume control wheel , PTT (push to talk ) be the same pressing. Next / prev working as well.

But I wold like to get volume control working as well , but with no luck at the moment.

Upgraded Software to 3970 - still the same issue :(

I sorted my issue by swapping RNS510 to Columbus. RNS unit is not understanding volume roller CAN commands. With Columbus everything working just fine. BAP and shortpress are enabled.
