Poistion 1 on the interior blower switch now seems inoperative, postions 2, 3 and 4 work fine.

Is this an early indicator the resitor is on the way out? I know there's a guide on here to change so it could be a case of poking behind the dash soon! Any ideas of how much a new resistor assembly wcould cost?

Hi my car is doing the same thing, except it will only work on 4 and not working on 1, 2 and 3. did you ever have any luck getting this problem sorted?

It's the heator resistor Fabia 1 problem . A cure is on Fabia 1 problems .TRY a search .

Hi, Just did mine (02 1.4mpi). The part ref I used was 6Q0 959 263 A. Sourced one locally from vw/audi guy for £10, took around 20mins to do using following link:

In my case only setting 4 worked which was a real pain.
