Irritating Gear Shift Indicator Light !

I have a manual transmission octavia II FL........

unfortunately for me ...... the latest visit to the workshop started the gear shift indicator on the screen ( Non - maxidot )

Please can someone help me get rid of this .........I don't need a computer telling me how to drive....aaarghh

(I have vcds--- any coding change help me get rid of this )

Did anything come of this as I too would love to get rid of this anoyying indicator indicator.

I have a 2010 Skoda Superb 1.9Tdi Greenline.

PS. I too have thought of covering the indicator with tape!

Finally, I did it today.....Sadly it was with some "black" discreet insulation tape. First day in weeks since I've had this car, I drove into work without stessing over this annoying indicator. Bliss.

I have to say I've known so many people getting so wound up about something so small.

I drive sprinter vans on the weekends and they have got em in I pay not attention to it what so ever, also driven Golf's with it and not bothered me, if it was speaking to you saying "Shift up now" I could understand it :D

I think this is a really useful feature, and with your eyes on the road its pretty easy to ignore if you don't like it isn't it?
