Featured Replies

Left the house yesterday morning, got to bottom of road, put foot on break pedal, nothing happened, put foot hard down and ground to abrupt halt, half way accross junction.

Lukily there was nothing comming the other way. Brakes seemed to opperate normally after that.

Car parked overnight, this morning serious grinding noise and grinding feeling through break pedal, which went awway after breakin a few times.

Silly question but should I be heading back to my dealer

Six month old vRS by the way.

in a word.. yes!

Sounds like an airbubble somewhere, you don't want to find any more.

****, have just spoken to the missus and it would appear that this happened to her last week, but "she forgot to tell me". She was lookin out the life insurance more likely

looks like a phone call to the dealer tomorrow

Cheers

ICE on the road? ABS?

Wont be air unless the pedal shot to the floor.

But anyhow get in touch with your dealer, they wil have to fill out a report form on it and notify Skoda.

Nah, pedal went down about half way and absolutly nothing happened, did feel like air in the system at the time. Then had the grinding noise on gentle braking on the flat in a car park today which went away after 5 efforts of gentle braking.

was Bloody scary though and has dented my confidence in the car.

Definately no Ice on the road, I know I live in NE Scotland but it aint always baltic up here.

Still, I wont discount your input Ross, as like every one else on this site, we all value your comments greatly.

Cheers

Anything brake related to me means garage visit, whatever the car, whether it's in warranty or not :D

Engine issues s*ck too but they usually don't kill ya unless it keeps cutting out, brakes not working WILL.

I'd get it in there first thing ;) Take it easy on your ways there, just in case :)
