Excessive Noise from engine

Featured Replies

hey guys ive fitted a set of vibratechnics fast road engine mounts on my octavia vrs just seems to me that this has made it very very noisey inside the car asthough the engine has been bolted directly to chasi legs was just woundering if anyone else has fitted them or has same problem im now thinking of refitting my original mounts as i use the car daily it will get annoying id imagine

That's normal with the vibratechnics mounts.

It may die down after a few hundred miles, but it will never be the same as it was with the OE mounts.

The performance is probably worth it tho

Apart from uprating the "dog bone" mount, I'd leave the others std unless you have no other choice if your running very high power ????

Have now removed the mounts so the car is really quiet again now I'm thinking about selling them now as my money is getting tight And can't afford the other mods I wanted to do

standard mounts are fine only need to change when your going for serious power and track work imo ( around the 400 mark i would be changing )

so basically once the car cant be used as everyday vehicle? sounds like they may have been a pointless purchase
