Main Light Switch Removal

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

Been having an issue with some of my lights (see previous postings) and have diagnosed it to be an issue with the switch. I want to get get at it so I can have a look but seem to having trouble. I am following the haines instructions but it doesn't want to budge. Anyone ever taken theirs out? Thanks

Excellent, thankyou! Will try this tonight. Haines implies that it should just slide out, thought i was doing somethibg wrong. Won't be scared to put the screwdriver in now.

Been having same sort of prob myself.Front fogs come on when should only be sides lights.I Managed to get the main panel bit off but how do you get the rotary switch off(in one piece)to have a look at it or replace it please?

The knob you turn does slide out the housing with a combination of turns and pulling. Be damned if I can remember it now though.....

Push it and and twist to the left, then pull it out. Might take a bit of wiggling tho

The correct way is as follows:

With the main light switch in the "O" position push it in and rotate it to the 12o'clock position (sidelights), then insert a small flat bladed screwdriver between the edge of the surround and the dash by the rotary headlamp leaveling switch and lever it, then gentle pull whole unit from dash. B)
