Car Horn!

Featured Replies

The Horn on my 03 Fabia 1.9 TDi Estate is a joke--------------it sounds like its come of a kids peddle car

Any ideas for a Quick and simple replacement??

I fitted a Stebel Nautilus horn a couple of weeks ago and im chuffed with it,compact easy to fit and only £19.95 at the moment from Halfords....

Yep I have the Stebel Nautilus too. Sounds great. Tempted to get another as a spare at £20 http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_258317_langId_-1_categoryId_165704

Here's some pics of my fitting. I did not cut the original wires, I knocked together some wires with male spade connector at one end and female the other. You can forego the included relay as the original fuse is 20a so the car is more than capable of powering the horn without the relay. I did not bother with the included clip connector which lets you position the air intake away from water with some pipe. You may need a spacer/some washers to replace the black plastic block shown on the last pic as that came with one of the bigger stebel nautilus horns.

Edit: oh and IIRC the brown wire is the ground one, the other positive.
