4th service on pd vrs

Featured Replies

Had my pd vrs, just over 7 months now, the service light has come on{ bit miffed, as its only 10 month and 11k since its last service} what exactly will need doing on this, its 4th service ?

The car is 3yrs 1 month old and on 70k. Looking through the service book, it has had services at 19k, 34k and 58k. The work has been done all by Skoda garages, the car is on variable servicing, will the air filter and fuel filters need changing? The air and fuel filters were changed 2 years ago on 34k, brake fluid was done last march

Was thinking of taking it to a indy garage, that i have been going to for the last fifteen years. Would it be best if i took it to a skoda or vw/audi/skoda indy garage {these will be dearer} as they all have the diagnostic kit. If i do take it to a indy garage, will they need the diagnostics to reset the service indicator?

Are you sure the car is still on variable servicing though, it sounds like the place you bought it from have reset it to a fixed regime. I have never had less than 17K between services, on any of the 3 skodas on variable I have owned.

At 70K and 3 years your looking at quiet a big bill, as its now time to think about changing the cambelt.
