Clutch

Featured Replies

Hello. A bit of a techy do it yourself question here. The clutch was replaced at 90,000 on my car but I don't think it was adjusted properly. There seems to be quite a lot of travel on the pedal compared to my dad's Faby vRS. Mines at least double the travel and biting point is quite high. Is there a way do adjust this and whats the easiest way to do so? Can I do it myself and what tools would be required. I'd like to adjust it so that the travel is say 5" and the bite would be at 2". One more obviously important thing. Is there any risk to doing so and what would I need to watch out for. Really appreciate it guys

Clutch is hydraulic so self adjusting.

Hes was on first batch into country had to wait like 7 months for it lol. Shame I like hes one more than mine haha

Nope. All that can be done is bleeding out any air in the system, but if the clutch isn't dragging bleeding won't alter the pedal bite point.

Most likely cause of the difference, is different DMF/Clutch combination and possibly release bearing as well. Skoda used two different clutches over the years.
