FIA European touring car champion Andy Priaulx made his Formula 1 debut in a Williams-BMW FW26 at Valencia on Thursday. The Guernseyman was given the test as a reward for winning the tin-top title with BMW.

Priaulx spent the winter working ultra-hard on his fitness and body strength to make sure that he can make the most of his F1 run and although Priaulx was only pencilled in for a half day run, he recently admitted to private hopes that he may do a good enough job in the run to be asked back for further tests in the future.

Well done Andy , although F1 probably won't happen ( to old I fear!), at least the chance to show what he can do is not one to be missed. Along with that BMW factory contract- I will be there in May at Silverstone to see him on home ground. Along with all the other WTCC.
