Draughty passenger cabin

Featured Replies

Hi all,

wondered if anyone could help with this. I have a Fabia 1.2Htp on 03 plate. for the last few weeks there seems to be quite a bad draft inside the passenger cabin, and with the temperature being cold outside, its really noticable.

i'm not sure if the start of this ties in when i had car MOT'd (together with a bit of work, but not much - just new front end exhaust, CV kit and a bit of work on back brakes), so not sure if connected or not.

Just wondering if anyone could shed any light on this. Trouble is, as the OH hasn't driven for 6/7 years, i can't drive the car and try investigate where it is coming from at the same time.

Regards

HXDave

Only thing I can think of is somehow the flaps in the blowers have failed and cold air is being aloud to blow freely in

I'd start with the superbasics; make sure all the windows are properly closed, then see if closing off some of the facia vents makes a difference.

Check the bottom of the pollen filter is fitted correctly, as i had this on mine :)

Is the pollen filter cover secure?

It's somewhere in the passenger footwell near the bulkhead.

Thanks for the quick answers guys.

Yes, all the windows and doors are secure, and even when blowing hot air through the vents, you can still feel the draft.

I guess first steps seem to be to check the pollon filter. I'll see how that goes and if it doesn't work, i'll be back......... lol

Cheers.
