Can anyone give me some advise on the best price I should get for 3rd Variable Service, and Cambelt Change on a '57 Plate Vrs Diesel.

So far I've been quotes around £200 for the service, then around £320 for the cambelt.

Seems a little steep.

I'm in Yorkshire If anyone can recommend anywhere.

Not sure about the cambelt price but the 3rd variable price seems fair to me. I just paid £200 at DM Keith Bradford for the 3rd Variable at 56K miles.

Well I had a cambelt on my Golf and my local dealer a couple of months ago and including the replacement water pump it was around £400 so I think the price you've been quoted is pretty par for the course..

Done 57k - cambelt change required at 60k

£218.74 for cambelt kit and pump. £170 for fitting including new oil filter and changing oil. Gonna be done on Monday.

Definately been told 60K by dealers and independents - also seen it on here. - Better safe than sorry.

DM keith last week quoted me £300 for a 3rd variable service at 45k miles (I'm going in early at last week of warranty)

ive got a menu pricing list from my skoda dealership stating cam at 120k miles or every 4 years. Thats for a 10 plate 2.0 tdi cr vrs. I also have pollen down for 2y/40k, diesel 60k, air filter 6y/60k and brake fluid 3/5/7y. Aircon service at £50. Take it that is either at 1 or 2y?
