Like it says, I'm new here, just started driving my son's Octavia Diesel. He has given us the use of it while he and his wife are posted to Kenya for a 6 month tour. First Impressions are good, and here comes the "but" our current car is a xantia 2.0 Hdi with the "Oh so comfy - I'm driving a sofa" hydro pneumatic suspension etc. with a rock hard brake pedal that gives braking effort related to pedal pressure and only moves an inch". Normal brakes on the Octavia and the pedal moves and braking effort is proportional to that movement, nearly put the missus through the windscreen the first time I braked She returned the favour first time she drove me. If I can learn as much here as I have from "the french car forum" for things PSA related I will be well chuffed!
