Octavia pd170

Featured Replies

Does anyone know, or anyone tried fitting an octavia vRS pd170 turbo to a furby vRS? Or are they totaly different setups?

Im not brushed up when it comes to skoda's and before i get my furby chipped id like to get a bit more power relatively cheap.

My best guess is that yes you can fit a pd170 turbo, I don't know much about it but I think you'd need new pipes and connections, how much more power are you expecting, if any more than 200hp then you may want to change the clutch as well as the turbo, get a pd160 intake and green cotton filter before remap too and you'll be laughing :)

Someone on here can probably deliver a more relevant answer :)

Its not a straight swap like the PD150, because the PD170 is a 2.0 16v (iirc) engine as oppose to 1.9 8v. Anything will fit, if you make it, but if your looking for a straight swap then a pd150 turbo is the best route, wouldnt be a easy job
