Hello everyone!

Yesterday I did the sensible thing and traded in my 54 plate Civic Type-R for a Fabia VRS. It was a hard decision as I've always owned Hondas but the running costs and now the insurance renewal have finally forced my hand. After some searching, the VRS seemed to fit the bill and the running costs will roughly half compared to the Civic!

I'm also looking forward to actually having some torque and I'm interested to see how the driving experience will compare on my favorite b-road.

I looked at a few Fabias and the difference in condition and price really shocked me. Eventually I settled on a black 55 reg, 59K miles, full skoda history, just had cambelt, and not a trolley ding in sight. It's lovely and straight :-) My cars don't stay standard for long but I prefer performance upgrades and subtle enhancements to 'in your face' modifications. I'll be sure to do some reading in the Fabia forum before I part with any cash.

I've been a member on various Honda forums for the last five years and it's been really helpful and informative. Hopefully the experience will be the same here!

I'm gonna give the car a wash and full detail on Sunday and I may wrap the grille in carbon effect (I run a sign + graphics company). I'll post a thread in the Fabia section.
