Hi

Have just aquired Fabia and discovered heater control which adjusts airflow direction is faulty- always blows on f/s passenger feet , nothing on driver side but face and screen work as should. Any links/help regarding how to get it all apart and fix much appreciated.

The long spring thing with the purple connector is what directs the air. Someone later on in the thread claims to have been able to get the panel out by just taking the stereo out and reaching round behind it, so you may want to check that out first...

thanks for the reply-will try taking stereo out first- looks a lot easier. will let you know...

just fixed airflow problem, guess what, someone had put the air filter cover on backwards leaving a large gap at the front hence the draught-always worth checking before taking the whole thing apart cos its L shaped and can go on backwards v easily. Thanks for your reply as i stil had to take glovebox off to find it.
