Dealer fit options?

Hoping some of you knowledgeable people can help me out on this one. I've just bought a Fabia 1.4 TDi in classic trim and am trying to get a couple of options added.

1) Fuel computer

2) Traction control

My local dealer tells me these are factory fit only and can't be done once the vehicle leaves the factory. I find this a bit strannge as I believe both are simply a case of an ECU reprogramme, the fuel computer would probably need the ODOmeter swapping out and the traction control would need an "ASR" switch adding to the dashboard.

Anyone else here ever had these added by a dealer?

Quite possibly some major wiring loom & sensor differences too.

I'd say the fuel computer is a a problem as you will need a whole new dash unit (doesn't really break into bits). Not too sure about traction control, both probably can be done but the cost of doing the jobs is probably enormous. It costs about
