Hi after many years of Alfa ownership im making the move to Skoda due to good build quality and great performance. What I would like to know is what should i look out for when buying the vrs? Will be looking for a 06 or 57 plate and petrol model,any advice would be great.

Apart from the obvious things like condition, service history, owner etc. make sure it has the interior upgrade bits that were extras but became standard. They are: Jumbo box (armrest), climate control, 18" wheels and rear electric windows.

They became "free" extras from about early 2007 onwards.

Other extras worth having are maxi-dot (larger display in middle of dials and allows various car features to be activated), parking sensors (useful in either hatch or estate) and cruise control is nice too.
