2.0 PD diesels

Featured Replies

I've heard horror stories of failed oil pump drives on the 2.0 TDI PD 140bhp in Audis and Skoda Superbs. Is this something which affects Octavias as well ??

I have a 2.0 TDI PD (BKD) and it just aced its NCT test (MOT) here in Ireland with 365,000kms on the clock. There will always be horror stories on forum sites, people normally only post when they have a problem.

Not personally seen a BKD do it, only the BSS but that's in my experience.

I would be interested to hear if anyone knows different, but I've done a fair bit of digging into this problem and not been able to find a single case of it ever happening to a BKD engine.

+ 1, never seen a BKD do this but loads of superb BSS powered units go ti**s up due to failed oil pumps/drives
