Yet another Skoda Customer Service rant

Featured Replies

Last year (while the car was in warranty) I gained an issue with my reversing sensors.. Going off randomly..

It was reported to 1 Skoda garage who dismissed the issue and put it down to condensation

Again.. the random times of the B"Beep" while in reverse still were going on.. Attended another local dealer. ( This same dealer later on treated me like crap as if it was dirt and not worth anything which a complain was made to S.UK)

This same dealer sprayed the sensors.. saying.. ow its this whats causng the issue.. **** NOPE.. not in this case ***

Again car went back in to the dealer .. again fobbed off no fault found on the reader..

Eventually after afew more visits .. my last visit while the car was in warentee they had it and checked over.. still nothing.. They said since its out of warentee you will need to contact Skoda UK. Nowt can be done

I contacted SUK.,, Who got took my case and requested a local stealer to call me..week later .. no call. I chased the issue, few days later I recieved the call..

Car again went in.. No faults found..

They said they would need the car for a full day @ charged labour rate to diagnose the issue.. *******s to that.,

Having told my other half what was going on.. the new guy who moved from Skoda (2nd dealership i went to) to VW garage where she works said, "bring it in and in 10mins he would tell me what is wrong" ..

So, other half took the car in,. and sure enough .. fault found.. he said its a known fault that when sensors going off randomly while in reverse its down to issues with the sensor not picking up the correct distance / issue with fitting.. FUMING AT THIS POINT, that the Skoda techs didn't do this test in the first place.

After this ive let my other half speak to the dealer as i would rip more than a strip..

3 weeks later ., car was booked in back at skoda with the evidence i had supplied and sure enough OOOOW yea i see the fault, but all they could do was leave it to Skoda uk to sort

Its come back after some time with my other half chasing again.. that all they are prepared to do is offer good will for the replacements and fitting £140 (i have to pay,) even though the fault was reported ever since the car was in warentee.

This weekend (as i have 14days to get back to SUcK) I will be writing a forum complaint to how this is being dealt with .. i think its discussing how they treat people. If they are still ***** and refused to sort this issue including paying me back for the diagnostics by a VW dealer (same diagnostics computers as skoda use) I will write a letter to well known car mags etc expressing my views on SUcK and the two dealers in question and have then have the work done for at the VW garage ( putting nothing back in to Skoda ££)

Before the above takes place .. can anyone recommend the best course of action (if you have had similar issues)

*** So far i have lost roughly £300 worth of contract wage(time off to take car) / 15miles each way for trips to Skoda dealer (petrol) Hair and sleep.. NOT HAPPY

Hope the above makes sense

Thank you
