Fabia ARB/Bushes

Featured Replies

Hi and apologies if I've posted this in the wrong forum but I'm a newbie :)

I've got a Y reg 2001 Skoda Fabia 1.9 sdi which I've had quite a few years now. There's one almighty squeak coming from the driver's side when I turn right and I've been told it's possibly the arb or the arb bushes. Has anyone else experienced this and how much would it cost me for a garage to fix it? They've said that it shouldn't cause any damage but to be honest the noise is driving me doo-lally and I have the cd player up full whack so I can't hear it!

Any help appreciated.

Changed mine weekend just gone, but they where knocking :giggle:

Not that hard a job to do yourself tbh, and iirc the bushes where only a few quid :)

Thank you for that :) However, I haven't got any of the stuff to do it myself so unfortunately it looks like the garage for me :( Oh well, no doubt another week's wages gone lol

You only need a jack, wheel brace, 13 mm spanner, and some grease :)

I got an advisory note for "OS inner front anti roll bar bushes

deteriorating but not causing excessive movement" today when my car had its MOT.

So this is an easy DIY job then? I have all the tools listed above and plenty of time.

Part numbers anyone??

Yip easy enough

Hardest bit is getting the cups back on the new ARB bush, but some grease will help.

Hmmm... I'm jacking mine up soon to fit a splitter all going well.

Might have a go then. Presumably I would replace both?
